Fund for Action Through Education (FATE) helps underprivileged children in developing countries by providing them access to a good education. By supporting FATE, you can change a child?s life, giving them the opportunity to realise their dreams and break the cycle of poverty. We are participating in the Dorney Tri-Nations 10K run on Sunday 13th June.

Our goal for this race is to raise £3,000 which will pay for much needed school uniforms, text books and other essential items for the children that we sponsor in Kenya - why not join us?

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a registered charity which selects and trains dogs to respond to specific sounds which people who can hear often take for granted, such as the alarm clock, doorbell, baby cry, telephone and smoke alarm.

Hearing dogs are free to deaf people but it currently costs in excess of £10,000 for us to acquire and socialise a puppy or young dog, train it to alert to the required sounds and place it in a partnership which we will support for the working life of the dog.

As we receive no government funding we rely solely on the generosity of individuals, fundraising groups and companies to support our work.

Missing People provide support for missing children, vulnerable adults and families left in limbo. The charity offers families of the missing with specialist advice and practical support and also searches - securing publicity that could end years of heartache. The Cancer Counselling Trust provides face to face and telephone counselling to anyone affected by cancer, patients, family members and carers of cancer patients at any stage from diagnosis, and beyond treatment. We receive no government funding, and so though the service is free of charge, donations are encouraged from those in a financial position to help us continue to provide this very necessary service.

EDV is a not for profit, non-governmental organisation that works in disaster zones worldwide to help communities recover from the devastating effects of natural disasters. As a new organisation we are excited to add our personal experiences and unique voice to the world of disaster recovery. This organisation was founded by a number of people who met while volunteering in similar situations. For example, I got involved when I was shoveling rubble and re-building walls following a very destructive earthquake in Pisco, Peru with another organisation, and this is where I met the person who is now the executive director, Andy Chaggar.

We are committed to providing medical aid where it is most needed, regardless of race, religion, politics or gender and also to raising awareness of the plight of the people we help.

 

Malaika Kids is a UK registered charity that is committed to giving a future to orphans in Tanzania , many of whom have lost their parents due to the AIDS epidemic. Malaika Kids aims to help these orphans by providing a family environment, with education and skills training, that will enable these children to reach their full potential and become self supporting, independent adults.

London's Air Ambulance www.londonsairambulance.com provides vital pre-hospital care to people with life-changing injuries.  The helicopter, which always carries a qualified trauma doctor and can reach anywhere within the M25 in just 12 minutes.  It is the speed at which the patient is seen by senior medical staff that can make the difference between life and death.
